This book is about a girl named Anne. She is an orphan. Her parents died when she was baby. She is 11 years old, thin, with red hair and she never stops talking. She comes to Green Gables, Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert's home but there is a problem. The Cuthberts don't want a girl. They want a boy not a girl to help them on their farm.
In early afternoon, Marilla want to send Anne at the orphanage. Marilla want to meet Mrs. Spencer and talk about Anne is not a boy. It is a big mistake. Matthew very sad to separate with Anne but his sister, Marilla don't care about Matthew. To know what happen in this story you all must read it.
