The Burj Al-Arab (tower of the Arabs) is a luxury hotel located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Burj Al- Arab is managed by the Jumeirah Group. It was designed by British Architect Tom Wright of WS Atkins PLC with the design and construction managed by Canadian engineer Rick Gregory of WS Atkins. The Burj Al-Arab was built between 1994 and 1999. At 321 meters, it is the tallest building used exclusively as a hotel. The Burj Al-Arab stands on an artificial island 280 meters out from Jumeirah beach, and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. It is an iconic structure, designed to symbolize Dubai’s urban transformations and to mimic the sail of a boat. The hotel is the only seven star hotel in the world. The finest materials have been sourced from around the globe for your luxury and comfort. At night, it offers an unforgettable sight, surrounded by choreographed colour sculptures of water and fire.
