The Burj Al Arab is a luxury hotel located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Burj Al Arab was built between 1994 and 1999. Burj Al Arab is managed by the Jumeirah Group. Is was designed by British architect Tom Wright of WS Atkins PLC with the design and construction managed by Canadian engineer Rick Gregory of WS Atkins. At 321 metres, it is the tallest building used eexclusively as a hotel. The Burj Al Arab stands on a artificial island 280 metres out from Jumeirah beach and is connected to the maindland by a private curring bridge. It is an iconic structure, designed to symbolize Dubai's urban transformation and to mimie the sail of a boat.The style is modern.
