The most important food in Kedah is ‘pulut udang’. It is a part of Malay culture. This Malaysian cake( kueh ) made from rice and prawns, is a favourite with Malaysian of all races. People can eat ‘pulut udang’ at any times of day but most homes they usually taken for breakfast or afternoon tea. As usually, they take it with tea or coffee. It is delicious on a hot day. It is called ‘pulut udang’ in the state of Kedah and ‘pulut panggang’ in Perak.
