In the beautiful beach resort of Amity Island (an island resort town somewhere in New York) . There is something in the sea that is attacking swimmers. It’s begins with a young girl swimming below the sea surface at moonlight and she’s never returns. Martin Brody is the new police chief of Amity was called to the beach, where the body of the girl has nearer ashore. The medical examiner tells Brody that it could have been a shark. He wants to close the beach resort and protect the people. But is overruled by Larry Vaughn (who is desperate to not lose the money that will be brought in by 4th of July tourists.). He wants Brody to say the girl death was caused by a motorboat propeller but not of a shark. After the shark killed on a few more victims. Brody think that something must be done, before the shark it returns back. Brody finally convinces Vaughn to hire a local fisherman, Quint to hunt and kill the shark. But Vaughn thinks Quint's price is too high. Quint, Hooper, and Brody are sent out to sea in Quint's boat, they are ready to do whatever it takes to find and killed the shark. Quint slides down and into the waiting shark's mouth. Brody is able to throw of airtanks into the mouth shark's jaws and detonates it with a shot sinks around him. Brody watched the dead shark fall down into the sea. Brody and Hooper began to swim back to the shore.
